1 What is your company called, and what services or products do you offer?

ProQuest is a key partner for content holders of all types, preserving and enabling access to their rich and varied information. Those partnerships have built a growing content collection that now encompasses 90,000 authoritative sources and six billion digital pages and spans six centuries. It includes the world’s largest collection of dissertations and theses; 20 million pages and three centuries of global, national, regional and specialty newspapers; more than one million ebooks; rich aggregated collections of the world’s most important scholarly journals and periodicals; and unique vaults of digitized historical collections from great libraries and museums, as well as organizations as varied as the Royal Archives, the Associated Press and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

2 What opportunities and challenges can you help IPG members with?

We are interested in talking to members who don’t yet sell their ebooks to the library market. We sell to thousands of libraries worldwide and can help publishers access customers who are otherwise very difficult to reach. Although our market is primarily academic we can sell educational content and trade non-fiction alongside our scholarly content. If you already sell your content via our ebook platform ProQuest Ebook Central we can review how you are participating and suggest ways to increase turnover.

3 What are you looking forward to at the Annual Spring Conference?

It is great to hear of new publishing initiatives, whether it is start-ups or new series or subject areas from established companies. The exchange of ideas and information within the IPG has always been an outstanding feature of the Annual Spring Conference.
