Meet the Conference Exhibitor: IPR License

1 What is your company called, and what services or products do you offer?

We’re called IPR License, and you can find us here. We are a rights and licensing marketplace, providing a dedicated online portal that enables rights holders to complete domestic and international licensing deals. We are majority-owned by the Frankfurt Book Fair, and part-owned by the Copyright Clearance Center and China South Publishing & Media Group. Listings on the IPR platform have been viewed by rights buyers in 185 countries and 161 languages.
We work with both rights buyers and rights sellers. We are a bolt-on rights resource that can help small, ambitious publishers to grow beyond their current boundaries, and a supplementary support for publishers with rights departments to facilitate deals efficiently and cost-effectively.

2 What opportunities and challenges can you help IPG members with?

IPR can provide new opportunities for both buyers and sellers of rights, and we can help fellow publishing colleagues to meet the challenges of the global rights market.

For rights sellers

IPR’s online marketplace allows rights sellers to offer, negotiate and complete domestic and international licensing deals, increasing sales for frontlists and backlists. We have also developed the IPR ToolBox, which increases publishers’ profitability and efficiency using our personalised Rights Portal, our automation tools Instant Rights and Instant Permissions, and our Rights Guide. In addition, IPR provides a tailored marketing strategy for individual publishers, enhancing their brand visibility through bespoke digital and print marketing campaigns.

For rights buyers

Rights buyers can discover high quality content from leading international publishers via their free membership subscription on the IPR platform, and receive updates on relevant publishers and titles through weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters. They can also negotiate and complete deals for whole book and journal rights, licensing and permissions using the automation tools in the IPR ToolBox, all from the convenience of their desktops. Buyers receive additional support from our knowledgeable licensing staff.

3 What are you looking forward to at the Annual Spring Conference?

We are looking forward to networking with the IPG’s members and to meeting new people. We see this as a great opportunity to engage in good business conversations with our publishing colleagues and to discuss how we can work together in the future.
