About the Job

Unbound is a crowdfunding publisher that gives people the tools, resources and freedom to bring their ideas to life.
We’re a team of writers, designers, publishers, web developers, musicians – you name it – working together in an old converted warehouse by the Regent’s Canal in central London. Half of us spend our time producing and publishing our books, the other half building Unbound and its community.
We’re looking for creative self-motivators who love making amazing things and rising to any challenge. Entrepreneurial, natural collaborators who always put the work first, and are willing to fight for their ideas. People who see every project for its potential and as an opportunity to make something great.
We are looking to hire a number of experienced editors to join our growing commissioning team. We are looking for people with knowledge a track record of commissioning books with specialist knowledge of the following areas...
Computer Games
Design and Typography
Social and Online Talent
Business/Big Ideas
Graphic Novels
Health, MBS and Self-help
Art and Photography
We are looking for full and/or part-time entrepreneurial commissioners who will be able to use their contacts to find and develop new book projects that fit Unbound's crowdfunding model.

Key responsibilities:

Identifying and working with writers and creatives who have the vision and the network to fund a book project
Being able to translate ideas into fundable, market-focussed books
Overseeing the launch of projects on the Unbound platform
Managing projects through the funding process to the delivery of a finished book to our Managing Editor
You will report to John Mitchinson, Unbound’s Publisher. While Unbound HQ is in London, N1, near Angel Islington, we also have people working remotely from as far away as the Lake District.
