Assistant Accountant & Office Administrator

Bradt Travel Guides is looking for an experienced in-house book-keeper and office administrator. You will be responsible for handling the day-to-day accounting and general office duties.
A good understanding of double-entry book-keeping up to trial balance.
Good IT skills, and detailed knowledge of Excel in particular.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team supporting all areas of the business.
Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
Posting transactions in sales, purchase and nominal ledgers using our industry-specific computerised system.
Management of cashflow, credit control and paying suppliers.
Managing advances and royalties for authors.
General office administration, including answering the phone, maintaining office supplies, and dealing with customer and general enquiries.
