Are you an experienced and digitally savvy marketing professional with a demonstrable background in marketing within academic or educational publishing?
Working within the Author Engagement team and liaising with other departments, this position will play a key role in the expansion of the Emerald books portfolio focusing on the development and execution of the books input marketing plan. The role will also provide marketing resource for the development of the eCase portfolio and supporting the eCase commissioning programme with author and content acquisition.
•Work closely with Head of Author Engagement and Publishing team to develop and lead on the implementation of the eCases marketing programme to increase author retention and content acquisition
•In conjunction with the Publishing team and Product and Institutional Marketing team provide eCases marketing collateral resources to support the author acquisition and retention strategy.
•Work closely with the Head of Books, Head of Books Marketing and Head of Author Engagement to develop a strong input marketing programme to commission quality authors for books.
•Contribute to the development of effective messaging and value propositions for book titles, eCases and collections to target prospects and existing customers.
•In conjunction with the Business Intelligence and Marketing Services departments, analyse the size, dynamics and behaviors of author segments appropriate for book and eCase commissioning.
•Devise lead generation programmes to attract and nurture potential authors.
•Together with the Brand and publishing teams, input to author pages on the Emerald corporate site to ensure messages are consistent to attract book and eCase authors
•Together with Head of Author Engagement, promote and offer author services to attract and delight book and eCase authors
•Work closely with the Academic Relations team to develop author advocacy and engagement programmes, including the use of the awards
