Editorial Assistant (Osprey Publishing)

We are looking for a well organized and highly literate individual to join our busy Editorial team, working primarily to support Osprey Publishing, the leading illustrated, military history publisher, and also its sister imprint, Shire Publications, which offers an eclectic mix of titles on nostalgia, history, culture and craft.
In this role you will provide vital administrative support to the department, including screening and responding to manuscript submissions and enquiries from the public, booking freelancers, coding invoices, and maintaining accurate title and author information on the Biblio 3 title database. The role will also involve minute-taking at meetings and project management support for editors including picture clearance, hard-copy artwork processing and some editorial and e-book checks.
You will work closely with editors in the department and key people in the Sales, Marketing, Administration and Production and Design teams, ensuring that processes are followed, records meticulously kept and the publishing programme proceeds as smoothly as possible. It is an ideal opportunity to learn about all stages of the publishing process.
