We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Executive to work on our prestigious Philosophy, Film & Media, Anthropology, and Food lists within the award-winning Academic division. This role will be work on high profile and high revenue lists and our growing major reference work programme.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will suit a confident self-starter with experience of marketing in academic publishing.
•Implementation of marketing strategy, spend and budget for allocated lists
•Delivery of all aspects of marketing plans for these lists, including: Direct mail, Email marketing, Web marketing, Social media, Communities marketing, Attending academic conferences in the UK and overseas, Print and online advertising, Publicity and review copies, Author care, All sales materials
•Maximising adoptions and sales of print and e-books for allocated lists
•Improving discoverability through optimising marketing copy and data
Knowledge, skills and experience
∙ Books marketing experience within academic publishing
∙ Experience of developing marketing plans and activities, both offline and digital
∙ Excellent organisational and time management skills
∙ Excellent copy writing skills
∙ Attention to detail, analytical and project management skills
∙ Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of
individuals at all levels of the organisation
